Here’s an extra. I have just finished this year's production. It is a 10 ft 3/4 weight 270 grain rod. It’s one my personal favourites. While it is a 3/4 in spey term it is a 9 weight in single handed terms. When I first started steelhead fishing some 50 plus years ago we used rods of between 9 and 10 feet that took lines between 200 and 300 grains.
So plenty strong enough to land a steelhead. I use primarily dry lines on this rod buy it will take a Skagit type and tips to 8 feet. Flys should not be to big that’s where bigger rods shine. This rod has October Caddis orange wraps, bright fittings and composite ferrules. The reel seat wood is Yellow Cedar Burl from Haida Gwaii.
